Meal Mondays For All!

SAVE TIME AND MONEY WITH E-MEALZ MEAL PLANSA friend of mine told me last week that she loved that I did Meal Mondays. All four times, right? Well I have to say that I've found a way for everyone to have their own customized menus planned for them in advance without having to do all of the work! You should check it out at e-mealz.com For $1.25 a week, they actually put together a weekly meal menu, along with a grocery list at the store of your choice and the final cost averages about $35 for two people and $75 for four to six people. It's kind of a no-brainer for this crazy busy girl! I just know that for our family, it's best to have a plan for the week. Our household is run more efficiently and we're not bleeding money through the nose on fast food. Anyway, when I hear of a cool deal like this I have to share!

Meal Monday - 3

So in case you - all 14 followers- haven't noticed, Mondays have rolled on by for the past month and there has not been a single post with our weekly menu. It's sad, but not planning out our weekly menus has caused me to slack on grocery shopping, resulting in us eating out like a bunch of piggies. I could throw out the excuse that we've all been sick for the past month, yada yada yada. But sick people have gotta eat, right? So that excuse doesn't work. I've gotta get back to the program! Accountability please!

So here is our menu for the week.
And I'm also quite excited to say that we just bought a George Foreman Grill with removal and dishwashable plates. I'm pumped about cooking dinner at a faster rate of speed with less clean up. What can I say? I get my kicks where I can!

Meal Monday - Week 2

I'm excited to try the chicken and wild rice casserole. My coworker, MARLO, gave it to me a while back and I have yet to try it! I have no doubt it will be off the chain.

Meal Monday - Week 1

One of These Doesn't Belong

I don’t know about you, but I believe a home should be lived in. My home is clean and decorated as nicely as our shoe string budget will allow us. And though we’re constantly on the go, we do the best we can to pick up after ourselves. But our home is not on display. It is definitely lived in!

And when we cook, our dinners don’t include three courses, nor are they gourmet. They’re just quick, thrifty and pretty tasty, too, so long as Chris is cooking!

If you or someone you know is able to maintain the Pottery Barn home, cook like Rachel Ray all the while living in your home, more power to ya! But that will never happen for the Freemans. It’s good enough for us just to have our meals planned out for the whole week, and it’s even better if we get the groceries in advance! It’s just one less thing we have to deal with, and it lets us actually enjoy our evenings together.

So as a means of accountability to me, and maybe encouragement to others, I’m going to start posting the meals I’ve planned out for the week. We'll call these posts "Meal Mondays". If you want the recipes, let me know! And if you do the same thing, I want to know what you're cooking for the week!
